A SlatLock™ anchor is comprised of two identical units. Each one is inserted independently (step 1) with the thicker portion to the back. They are then aligned (step 2) to form a threaded hole (step 3). The recommended fastener length is ½” plus the thickness of the material being anchored to the slatwall. Too long of a fastener will hit the back of the slatwall and your product will be loosely mounted, too short and the threads will not fully engage. Using spacers or washers will provide the best fit and strength. Fastener should be tightened snugly, typically finger tight. Threads are designed to strip out if over-tightening to protect the slatwall from delaminating. Please refer to the Fastener Selection Chart for details or call us directly.
